TANKTESTING

Humphreys Yacht design ran an in-depth tank program with the Wolfson Unit. A 1:6 scaled model of the c-15m was constructed to run the tests.

There were three sections firstly  the long tank to establish the restince of the hull to verify the 50kt speed, and then to check seakeeping characteristics to be able to establish a comprehensive user manual.

the second section was to check the manouverabity of the hull design by adding scaled jets and remotely free running the model to establish turning characteristics.

The third sections was to free run in the Ocean Basin at Haslar to analyses the hulls performace running down waves.
