The essence of the C-Boat development is style-with-substance, and while the style may speak for itself the substance comes in the form of direct user experience, where the boat’s highly developed engineering achieves such weight saving as to dramatically reduce resistance, creating a perpetual ecological gain against other vessels at every speed in her range. Much is made of alternative power sources these days, but little attention is paid to the ‘drag’ side of the equation, and this, more than anything else, is what C-Boat is about.




C-boat has covered all angles for  the design of the first C-15M custom. A comprehensive tank testing program was undertaken to establish performance over 50kts, whilst keeping the excellent sea keeping, manoeuvrability and general handling, with an emphasis on  down wave control in larger waves.





An indepth CFD study was undertaken to analysis and the airflow over the boat at various speeds so as to check the comfort of the passengers. A number of screen designs and heights were researched, also looking at the intergration with the sun shade.





Our Composite Engineer, Mark has a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Auckland in New Zealand and has been involved at the fore front of composite engineering for 17 years.  Initially working for High Modulus in NZ, then since 2003 to 2010 as head of composite structures at Farr Yacht Design in Maryland, USA, he now runs his own independent composite engineering company, Waterfront Composite Solutions.  Designs have run the gamut from offshore ocean racers such as Telefonica Azul in the last Volvo race and the current Abu Dhabi Volvo 70 entrant; multiple Open 60 race winners Foncia, Gitana and Virbac-Paprec; the composite superstructure for the 141m Giga Yacht SWIFT 141 in build in Abu Dhabi; the 42m high speed waterjet powered motoryacht Adler as well as offshore power racing catamarans for Mystic Powerboats exceeding 215mph and featuring a revolutionary double diagonal internal structure and the 2005 P1 world offshore powerboat champion ARPRO
